The area between the home at 24 W. Paseo Celestial and the home next door (at 28 W. Paseo Celestial), is the private side yard. It's enclosed by a cinder block fence at both ends of the yard, and there's a wood paneled steel gate to enter the yard from the front yard of the home, and the gate can be locked and secured with a padlock. From the house, you can enter the side yard using the sliding glass door in the dining area.

As mentioned in other separate blog articles, the covered patio is an upgrade to a larger size (roughly 10 ft x 12 ft, and you'll see many homes in the neighborhood with the smaller, narrower side patio covering). The larger size accommodates a nice size patio seating set, and there's already an outdoor ceiling fan installed in the covered patio area, letting you have an outdoor gathering, while still being able to get a refreshing breeze.
The side yard is also completely landscaped with drought tolerant species of plants. At the far end of the yard is a palo verde tree, that has grown in nicely to provide shade for the yard. In addition there's other beautiful fully established plants and a flagstone walkway installed, and the entire yard has been filled in with pea gravel, so it's ready to enjoy.
Because the plants are established, they no longer require regular watering, although there is a drip system installed should you need an occasional drenching or if you're trying to establish new plants in addition to the ones already there.
